主要用途：
用作有機合成燃料和醫(yī)藥原料，制造引發(fā)劑過氧化二苯甲酰、過氧化苯甲酸叔丁酯、農藥除草劑等。在農藥方面，是新型的誘導型殺蟲劑是異惡唑硫磷（isorathion，karphos）中間體。苯甲酰氯是重要的苯甲?；推S基化試劑。
